Customer Reviews

Worth every pennyI bought a pair of these six years ago, and wore one on my swollen leg every day for the first year and a half after I shattered my ankle. They are a large part of the reason that I'm not crippled for life by that injury, as chronic swelling is a huge problem with tibial plafond fractures. I now wear both stockings at one time, so my legs don't end up different sizes. They are very helpful for the aching ankle I get if I've eaten too much sodium. The advantage of Sigvaris that they have more sizes than other brands. They're going to be tight, so they have to fit comfortably. My suggestions: 1. Bend your knee when you measure your size, so you can be sure that after a couple washings the stockings won't begin to roll up behind your knee while you're sitting down. Measure to just above the bulge in your calf, before it narrows down too much, rather than the two finger-breadths below the knee that they recommend. The shape of your calf may not be like everyone else's. 2. Use the "heel pocket method" of putting the stockings on, starting with the stocking inside-out. See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KGQWR_WsPS0 3. Expect to come back to buy a smaller size if you are starting off with a very swollen leg. If you try to go from elephant legs to Jamie Lee Curtis legs in one step, the stockings will be too tight to tolerate, and you'll need help just putting them on the first time. They only work if you wear them. 5Best comfortAlways comfortable and the cotton makes bearable. 5but like many peopleI don't have swelling or varicose veins, but like many people, have unexplained leg aches after mild/moderate exercise often quite severe. The stronger the compression, the more hours I can manage on my feet working or walking. I love the cotton in these as well as the durability so far (3 months). They are better for summer as they breath. My only complaint is that the small short still have fairly big feet. I am a size 7 and the toes still have lots of wrinkling.I would like to see a SSS size. Small feet, Small ankle, Short calf. I am 5'4" . size 7 foot and they are a bit big. What do all the petite Asian women do? The sports compression socks are narrower in the ankle than medical compression and fit better but are not appropriate for dress, work, or even everyday. These are nice and smooth and go with everything, especially leggings and come in beige and navy as well as black. So this is my everyday choice for now. We need more choices. Sports compression socks are ridiculous looking for everyday wear or even in the gym. So these fill a niche. 4My favorite brand of compression stockings!I've been trying different brands of compression stockings, as I increase the number of stockings I have to make it easier to wear them everyday. My research and experience have shown me that this is among the top-of-the-line brands out there. Plus it's the only one at the top that come is colors besides the beiges/nudes, blacks, and whites. (For fun colors and patterns for around the home, I found two other brands, about mid-line in prices and quality but still very nice: Juzo and Rejuvenate.) 5
