Great multi-purpose baby wipesWe bought these as baby wipes (we've been trying many things for this, we like to experiment). We have a little spray bottle of distilled water for moisture, and then use a dry wipe to make sure no moisture remains. They're perfect for this - robust, absorbent in case of an ill-timed #1 event (our baby's a boy...). It'd be nice if they had some way to reseal, but this is minor. 5These are perfect!These are amazing! Super soft, yet durable and absorb just the right amount. Don't leave any lint behind or anything like that. They are perfect. I couldn't be more happy with this purchase! 5Best gauze pads ever!I injured myself badly while I was in Thailand. I had to constantly buy gauze pads, since I have a large open wound. Now I never really injured myself before so I can only compare these gauze pads to those I have used in Thailand. And I must say it s a world of difference (maybe that s why these are better).These pads are extremely soft and durable. The stitching or threading does not fray out.You will not be disappointed, get them! 5Perfect for baby wipes and cosmetic useThese are soft like cotton but don't shed like cotton balls. Based on other pictures I thought they might be a little rougher like some of the antibacterial wipes you can get at the dollar store but these are more padded and much softer with cotton within the weave. The wipes are folded into quarters so each one is four layers thick for the 4x4 square. They are very absorbent and durable.I use these to dip in water and clean our baby with each diaper change. Baby wipes are not moist enough and are too smooth that it often takes multiple passes to remove all residue from a baby, which can irritate the skin. With these pads and a bowl of water, I'm able to clean her face and any other areas with a single pass.They're just the right texture to absorb water quickly and gently remove any caked on residue on our baby's skin. I also don't have to worry about the chemicals and preservatives in baby wipes that are there to prevent mold in the bags. 5Work great for beauty and wound cleaningThese are great fabric squares to use for first aid purposes, or to apply beauty products, such as toner. They are oddly described as "sponges," but they are nothing like sponges - they are thin squares of non-paper fabric.I use them to clean my dogs' ears, as well as apply antiseptic to cuts and scrapes. I also use them to clean my face with expensive facial toner. They are pretty thin, so they don't waste expensive beauty products like happens when I use paper tissue or toilet paper, which absorbs lots of liquid and wastes product.They are a great size, being 4 inches by 4 inches when completely unfolded. I also use them folded over sometimes if I need a thicker cloth. Another great feature of these squares is that they don't leave any fuzz or bits of paper in a wound, like sometimes happens when using paper tissue. 5Absorbent, soft and cleanThese 200 packs of 4x4 gauze are great. I was using individually wrapped sterile gauze for the first two weeks after a marathon surgery with miles of incisions and they were rough and semi see through, more like a crappy cheese cloth. These are soft, well woven and not translucent. They absorb well and are slightly slippery so scabs and sutures don't dry to or adhere to the gauze.Did not cause any skin irritation or chafing either.Wouldn't hesitate to purchase again. 5Great for dog maintenanceBought this product to do dog maintenance, ear cleaning, eye discharge, etc. After seeing the vet use this gauze I decided to try it myself. So much better than cotton, love it. I only use sterile gauze on wounds so this product was not bought for wound care, just dog care. 5Not for faceI saw reviews saying that these are great on the face. While these seem doable for general purposes, as an esthetician, I wouldn't recommend using them for your facial skin. They are way too rough and thin comparing to the cotton wipes that I use personally and on clients. They might be a good value for other usage though. 3Great Value & Good Quality - FYI: Item Is Not Individual Packages, Non-SterileNon-Sterile does not mean that the item is a dirty cloth that will contaminate you.Overall: Just what was expected. Yes it may say that it contains double the amount but if you research the items similar to this, you will find that this is the norm. Overall, great value and a product that is at least, if not above, average for what it is.After extensive searching and researching, this was the best option for plain and simple gauze/dressing that you would apply to a wound or under another type of bandage.One noteworthy aspect of this particular item, is that it is not individual packages AKA not a sterile piece each time you use the non-woven sponges (non-sterile as stated on the label in true full disclosure, deceit-free style).If you are in need of sterile packages of this item, you will have to pay for that specific (and very important) characteristic of the item.Depending on the circumstances, it is well worth spending a little bit more money on the bandage that will remain in a (sterile) package, than to end up with an infection in the hospital; ultimately costing more than just a bill. Time, grief, frustration and devastation are some of the repercussions to not be safer than sorry. This is just to stress the importance of proper wound care importance and the only thing that is a good enough reason (if necessary) to get the individual packages of this same item.For the situation in which the bulk, non-sterile item was purchased, there was no prominent threat of the aforementioned consequences. Therefore, this was an excellent purchase and I recommend it to anyone that has a similar situation and wants the BEST option to get the most of your purchase.Hope this helps and the wounds of whomever is using the item also are aided in healing through using them. 5If you wrestle with a poison sumac tree, order at least 3 sleeves.Ordered these accidentally thinking they were the traditional woven gauze. My husband had an unfortunate encounter with some poison sumac and his arms were essentially two giant, gross blisters. We burned through a sleeve of the woven sponges in one day so had to quickly order these. They arrived same day and cost a few dollars less than the woven. More importantly, they seemed to be more efficient at absorbing the large volumes of ooze and they didn t stick to his skin as much as the traditional gauze did. Overall, very good product. Just ordered a second sleeve of these. Will definitely buy again. 5
