Broke after 3 Weeks after initially feeling well builtUPDATE: Box broke after 3 weeks. The plastic for the covers is far too fragile to last long. After only three weeks one of the doors snapped off in my hand. I hadn't even made it twice through the two weeks of pills that this box holds. I will be returning it immediately and looking for a replacement. My last box from Walmart lasted me 7 years. I didn't get a month from this one.INITIAL REVIEW: Great pill box. Because each week is colored differently I can tell one week from another. My last one was blue all over so I had to mark one Sunday as a starting point. My only tiny complaint is that both weeks are lined up exactly day for day; meaning Sunday is over Sunday, etc. This is different from my last box which had the weeks lines up back to back. With he old one I would go down one row and up the other. Now I have to be conscious to start from the left each time. No big deal LOL.The covers snap in solidly and release once you push the side release button. The covers snap on and off fairly hard which is great for not losing pills but could be a challenge for seniors who have weakness in their hands. But I'm also sure the effort needed will decrease as the box gets used and broken in. All in all a good product that works well. I would recommend it if it fits your need. 1Lock up a full week of meds- won't spill on luggage careful about lidsThis is the third one I have had. First one purchased about 5 years ago- same brand and style. Finally rubbed off wording. Locking is great. Probably not child proof but safer than meds in non case. Great for travel / won't spill in bag.Large size to fit all the supplements and things. Very durable. Cat just knocked on floor and all pills still inside!Update: July - after only three months of use one of the Lids came off making it in usable and there is no way to fix it. Previous one I used for 2 + years with no problem. I replaced it when letters rubbed off. I recycled that on - wish I still had it!Update 2019: decided to order two more as these are only locking pull containers - hope these are strong enough. 3Great locking mechanism, size, and weight. This is a winner!I love the four compartments. I had one similar to this for years, finally the plastic fatigued, and it broke. Thank goodness for Amazon! I searched and searched for a replacement to no avail. The four compartment size is smaller than three compartment pill boxes I found at local stores.This works well as a four dose daily organizer, but I use it to organize four kinds of meds. Having the medications I take several times a day sorted in my purse saves me from carrying so many bottles of medication. I also am able to protect the meds from extreme temperatures more easily. The lightweight pill box fits in my wee purse I carry, because I can't handle a heavy bag. I'm glad I found this.The locking mechanism is superior to other pill sorters I have found. 5The locking mechanism was an important feature for me.I just bought green ones and an assortment and was happy to get blue and green. i love the colors and colors are important to me.I also love that the boxes are large because sometimes i do chose to take herbal suppliments though i am not doing that now. i feel secure in knowing that these boxes are going to hold whatever i put in them. i like the little section piece and decided to separate my vitamins from my pills. there is no reason for that, but i do take large vegan vitamins.i got new pill boxes because i was using a smaller, clear version of these that i had gotten elsewhere much cheaper that did not lock. i cant count how many times either I or one of my cats have knocked over the box and every pill and vitamen has gone flying across the floor, under and over things, some never to be seen again.the locks were an exciting development!i have been looking for solutions to annoyances in my life.i just got these boxes and loaded the first 6 weeks. However i found that my first week's pill box's locking mechanism has already failed. it slips down inside the groove. if i push it out with a pen, the box will lock again, but i will have to do this every time. i don't know if this will go one with every box. I will use still use the box and i am not interested in finding others. if it turns out to just be this one box out of the 6 i got, i will replace it. other than this issue, I am quite happy with the purchase and see myself using these boxes for many years to come. 4Buyer Beware Received Wrong Product Cannot Contact Seller.This product is an add on item and it seems impossible to contact the seller. It is much smaller than the advertised product in purple that is 4.8" x 1.2" x .8". It is not enough money to make it worth the hassle of returning the product. So buyer beware. 1Locks very securelyI had to take my time with this review because this pill container was super perfect for me! I wanted something super secure, as small as I could get it but still hold all my daily medications, and the price was great! Well made and again locks so securely! I have a 2 yr old that recently found where I stored my old pill container and fortunately did not eat any of my meds but it scared the life out of me literally. So I quickly went on amazon and found this product and it shipped so fast and I immediately put it to use. Even though I still hide and try to keep them out of my very active 2yr olds reach, I feel so comfortable if she was to find them this time she would not get into them. I did test it before I put my pills in it and she tried so hard to get it open. She pulled, threw, bit, bent but it did not open! LOVE IT THANKS and hope this long descriptive review helps the next customer. 5The best locking pill boxes! I have twoI ordered the small and sometime later ordered the 2xl. The small was..well..small. I tried to stuff 8 pills in there, two being very large ones, and it worked, but not well. So then I tried to cut down to 7 pills and keep one out. It didn t make sense to do this when I could just purchase a larger one since they re so cheap.The 2xl is a big boy! I didn t feel like the reviews had enough comparison photos regarding size, so I hope this helps. Now, my 7 (soon to be 8) pills are swimming in the container. Some people may not like this, but I do. I like to be able to see all my pills in one shot and not feel like they are being compromised with something too small.The small one can easily fit into a clutch, but the 2xl would need a medium sized ourself brief case in order to fit. It s taller than a tissue box, as you can see from the photo, but it s perfect.For dexterity purposes, the small box s locking mechanism spring is easier to push than the 2xl. It takes more effort to open the 2xl. Yes, you have to really be able to have good use of your joints to open/close/maneuver around the small box. I love that the 2xl has so much room you don t have to worry about any pills getting stuck or jammed.Is it child proof? Ohhh yes! My toddler is currently sitting here trying to open them and he can t. This kid can open pretty much anything, but this one is standing the test. It s exactly why I chose this locking pill box and I m glad it works.These boxes are well worth the investment. I highly recommend them! 5SO much safer!!This was a necessity for me! I always keep a little pill organizer in my wallet, so no matter where I am, I can take my meds at the right times. However, I also have small children, and my wallet isn't exactly hard to get into! This really is an ingenious solution to making it much more difficult for my kids to get into it, should they try! The pill sections are difficult to open without pushing the little button on the side first. LOVE this pill organizer and the peace of mind it brings me! 5Just what the doctor ordered!Just what the doctor ordered! (pun intended)My wife and I babysit my grandson 3 days a week and stay at their house for those 3 nights. I was horrified when my 13 month old grandson came out of our room carrying my old pill reminder full of my medications!I looked through amazon for what I needed and found this one. I will agree with many other reviewers that the word large in the name is misleading but it is plenty big enough for my needs (I take 2 small pills and 2 medium size pills per day).Since getting this pill reminder he has found it again (age 16 months) and came out carrying it trying to get it open and was not able to open the sections. Now I keep it out of his reach (almost out of mine) and feel very confident that if he gets to them again he won't get into them.It does require a little dexterity to open, and you have to use both hands, but really isn't a problem unless you have bad arthritis. 5These used to be betterI bought a couple of these (same brand, style, size) years ago and have been using them for several years. Those older pill cases worked really well so I bought two more recently to supplement my original two, which are still just fine.These new cases have been redesigned since I bought the originals. These now have a rounded shape to the bottom of the pill container that leads to tipping while you are trying to fill it. But what's worse is that the locking mechanism has been made in such a manner that it doesn't latch the lid closed without special attention. On my older cases all I had to do was close the lid and ensure that it snapped into place. These newer cases require me to push on the latch (not just the lid) to make sure that the lid will close properly. It's a new design that is worse than the original. Someone should tell Ezy Dose that if something's not broken DON'T FIX IT.I will say that a latch for the lids is an absolute necessity for me. I travel a lot and until I bought the original pill cases I would often open my shaving kit and find that my pills were scattered all over inside it. These case prevent that. I'll have to put up with the redesigned, poorer lid latch system because I need a way to keep the pills inside the case and these are the only cases I've found that do that. 3
