Perfect!Large enough to hold all 11 vitamin supplements that I take daily. Never pops open in my purse. 5This Item Is JunkI have four of these that I've purchased at Wal-mart over the past few years. Online they look identical to this product, are still intact, the lids snap (and remain) securely closed, and are still in use. Just loaded the dispenser with pills and found that the lids do not stay closed. Then I compared the new dispenser to the "old" ones, and there is no comparison. The plastic used to construct the new pill box is much thinner than the old, and the lip that keeps the new pill box closed is virtually nonexistent. As stated earlier, the older pill boxes still snap securely closed. Few people pay attention to a low number of negative reviews. But eventually there will be many if this item remains for sale. Seriously, how hard can it be to at least live up to Wal-mart standards? And where did the positive reviews come from? This item is going in the trash. 1works exactly as it shouldPROBLEM:You're taking a ton of supps or meds now for various reasons and realize it's taking forever each day to dispense each one.SOLUTION:This classic pill planner. Simple, cheap, but effective and decently made, the doors stay closed, even in your bag. Why open 6 different bottles each day when you can load your pills/supplements once per week and be done with it? Plus, this one is made of stronger, thicker plastic and isn't flimsy like so many I've tried.DESIGN/CONSIDERATIONS:Never underestimate the power of good design and function. I once had a pill organizer whose little doors would open in my bag. Guess what happened when one compartment opened on a hot summer day and my fish oil capsules tumbled out? Sadly, I had to say goodbye to the bag forever because I couldn't remove the odor.Also, if you take several pills a day, the compartments in this pill planner are large enough for at least two fish oil caps and a few others.Good karma:I hope my review has helped you, and if so, please click the like button! I thought that meant double extra large. When this one arrived, it turned out to be about half the capacity of the one I use. Now I have to either go through the hassle of shipping it back or just take the loss. Frankly, probably not worth the time and agony. I gave it 3 stars because it really is a quality product and I probably should have looked closer to see if I could figure out whether this is my 2XL or just a L with some marketing spin. But this is my rating so I am going to say, "Item not as described". 3Doesnt stay closed.These dont stay closed. Pretty pointless to use it as a pill case.As in, a couple of them pop open while just sitting. God forbid you drop it from 1" above the counter - all will open. There is no way my husband can take this when he travels.Back to ziplocks...Too bad - these are a great size. 1It works!Nice size for multiple supplements. Sturdy. Easy to open AND the compartments stay closed until you open them. 5WOULDN'T BE WITHOUT THESE LARGE CONTAINERS!Very happy ~ There are the largest containers I have found. Been using this type for years, but after so many years, the old ones became stained and don't close tightly anymore. So bought these as a replacement. Almost clear, so it's easy to see the tablets inside. Snaps shut snugly, easy to open and holds a LOT of tablets/pills. Of course, the number will depend on the sizes. I take a lot of vitamins which are large - typically calcium, E, B, Flavinoids, and some small like A, D and Selinium etc. With a mixture, I have 12 in one compartment with room for several more. Very satisfied. Will to back to order more so I can pack 2 weeks at a time. A tip - when stocking these compartments with a mixture of tablets, capsules, gel caps and caplets etc., store them in the fridge whenever possible. Oils and moisture can make them discolor and stick together in warm weather, esp if in a humid summer climate. 5If you need to have a lot of space....Ok, the pill box is MASSIVE. I mean huge, I think it's designed for people who are blind or very hard of seeing (it has braille on the lids). I kind of over-estimated how much space the supplements I take would have used up, so I can say that it easily holds 6 supplement tablets (5 normal sized and a larger one). The container is a good construction and the lids form a tight seal (I don't know about waterproof, though, but I'm sure it floats, right Pennywise?). I've had it for about a month now and the lid 'hinges' haven't weakened at all, but I will update if anything like that happens. So far I am happy with it, but like I said it is ginormous. I decided to fill up one of the chambers and it could accommodate 20 Ginko Biloba tablets per dose chamber. Yes, I know the product description says it can hold 60 aspirin tablets and gives the dimensions, blah blah blah. That's why I'm giving it 5 stars, I was the dummy who didn't read the whole thing and didn't feel like returning it. Also, since I haven't taken an aspirin in...I don't even remember when, I didn't have a good reference size to imagine (they're a lot smaller than I remember). All that being said, it's a good product! So far...Oh, and if anyone is curious, it's made in China. 5Great Qualtiy. . . Great Size. . . .Right PriceSome people have complained about the size (either too large. . . or too small). . .but no one has posted a picture, so I just did. If you take quite a few medications. . . or supplements.. . . or both. . . then this pillbox might be for you. I actually have two of them. . one for AM and one for PM. They are easy to open. . . I like that they are clear so you can see if you have left anything inside. . . the lids stay shut. . . I've had one for several years, and it's still going strong. . . I really can't think of anything bad to say about them. They also have braille in the corner of the lid. 5Detailed measurements of a pretty good product7 compartments, each of these compartments measures internally 1-1/4" wide, 1-11/16 deep, 7/8" high. The entire box measures 9-1/8" long, x 1-15/16" deep, 1" high. Very generous sizes. Each compartment is, as you can see, marked with first letter initial indicating day of the week. Obviously there are two marked "S" and two marked "T". Each lid is not only marked with the letter, but also with Braille indicators. To open each compartment, you flip it open. Easy unless you are very elderly and your fingers don't work well - then it would be difficult. This "white-ish" color is perfect because it allows you to see inside. Colored boxes aren't much good in that respect. IMPORTANT: many pill containers have compartments that are slightly rounded at the front, so that when you put your finger, it's easy to slide out one pill among many that might be there. This one does NOT have this feature - each compartment is completely square, so that getting one pill out from others may be a little more difficult. For that reason, it didn't work for us and I am returning it. 4
