Okay for GamingI've got pretty bad RSI pain in my wrists, but all my friends like to play FPS games. This wrist brace lets me join in. It keeps my wrist locked, so that I don't feel any extra pain after a long session. But I have enough dexterity in all my fingers so I don't have any trouble pressing all the usual "WASD" keys; Even in a competitive game such as Overwatch. The velcro straps are thin and flat so they slide easily on my desk. It's light and fairly comfortable(with one exception). I wouldn't recommend wearing this on your mouse hand though. There's a padded spoon brace in the palm that makes it difficult to grip a mouse. If you used a claw style grip it might work. But I'm still looking for a good mouse hand solution, maybe something that uses dorsal bracing.I'm a guy with a 6.5 inch wrist and the Large/XL version fits well. My main problem with this brace is the edge of the neoprene is a little sharp and kinda digs into the webbing area between your thumb and index finger. So if I want to sleep with it I have to put a bandaid underneath or it hurts in the morning. I wish they had added some cotton padding or something. At least it isn't as bad as most other braces that have the stitching seam run through there. Come on guys, we've had glove technology for 1000s of years. How hard is it to make a comfortable thumb hole?UPDATE: After around 2 months of use the Velcro really isn't holding up anymore. The straps are constantly popping off during the day. I kinda feel like a product should last more than 2 months, but it's pretty comfortable so I'll probably buy another. 4Great product, but needs frequent replacing due to poor durability. These supports are excellent for carpal tunnel and other troublesome conditions affecting the wrist, hand, and fingers. They are not sufficiently durable, however. They wear out before your carpal tunnel symptoms do. The velcro shreds the surfaces where you attach it, the velcro tabs on the end of the three support straps are not sewn on well and fall off within a few weeks. The edges of the neoprene and lycra are not bound or finished, and they deteriorate very quickly. Great option for a temporary condition, OR for a longer-lasting one IF you are happy to replace the supports every 4 to 6 weeks. 4So Disappointing!!The first brace I ordered had unfinished seams. It was so bad that one of the pieces of velcro was almost falling off. It was free exchanges so I ordered another one. I received the second one and the seams were still unfinished. Obviously neither braces will last. So disappointing because the brace itself is very comfortable. 1Best wrist brace by a mile!I have carpal tunnel in my right hand and I have tried at least 20 different braces (no exaggeration). I stopped searching when I found this baby. It seemed like every other brace was uncomfortable or irritating in some way. Not this one. It gives you great support, but you also have good range of motion in your hand. It literally feels like your wrist in wrapped in pillows. There are no hard pieces or seams to irritate your skin. I wear mine all day most days and it has held up beautifully. This is my second one. The only reason I had to replace the old one was because it started looking a little ratty, which is to be expected. Trust me. Stop searching and buy this one. You won't be sorry. 5works well for carpal tunnelI wear braces on my wrists at night due to CT and have tried many brands and like these the best. I like them because1. they are not too hot2. They are black so do not show signs of dirt. There are braces "for women" that are light grey and pink. They are pretty for about 2 days before they look disgusting.3. They are angled at the finger opening so your pinky doesn't get squished.4. The opening by the thumb is comfortable and doesn't pinch so some others do.5. The Velcro straps are easily adjustable as they attach pretty much anywhere on the glove.6. The metal stabilizer is removable so you can wash them.7. They last a long time. I replace mine about every 6 months or so. Again, I wear them every night. Also, I have cats and once cat hair gets in the Velcro there's really no turning back.Just for more information, I have very small hands. I can't attest to how well they would work on someone with more average sized hands. 5Good brace for a sprained wrist, though it does run a bit smallI bought this a little over 2 years ago, when I had what I now believe was a virus that caused arthritis-like joint pain, that was at least partially relieved by using braces/supports on effected joints. At the time, I was underweight (given that I'm a woman of average height -- 5'5", and barely 100 lbs), so there was no question about which size to buy. It fit, and it helped to stabilize my wrist, providing some relief. I pulled it out again about a week ago, after I sprained my wrist, and am still happy with it. Thanks to a medication I was on for several months, I have gained about 50 lbs in the last two years, and at 150 lbs, I'm now at the upper end of my healthy weight range. The small/medium still fits will, though (unsurprisingly) it's considerably tighter than it used to be. My wrist is now about 6.25", and my knuckles are about 7" at their widest point. The brace is snug enough to leave imprints from the seams on my wrist, but it's still comfortable, and I have not seen (or felt) any signs of restricted circulation to my fingers. I am wearing it as I type. When I first sprained my wrist, the doctor gave me a splint that covered my thumb and ended just below my elbow, which I could wear as much or as little as I wanted, since it was essentially just for my comfort. I'd brought this brace with me to the ER, and showed it to the nurse, who said it was a good alternative. For the first few days, I wore the thumb splint at night, and this brace during the day, since it allows for close to full use of my fingers (I'm wearing it as I type this, and can still touch-type at full speed; for nearly 20 years now, since I was in middle school, I've been able to type quickly enough that the rate limiting factor is knowing what letter I want next -- finding said letter is automatic and nearly instantaneous, and this brace does not interfere with this at all; it also has not interfered with writing, drawing, or coloring). I have not worn this brace overnight, since it feels a bit tight on my hand, and I worry about blood flow to my fingers at night, since it's tight find during the day, even though I know this is probably irrational (but I often wake up with one or the other arm numb just because it landed even slightly higher than my heart for a little while towards the end of the night, or I put my head on it while I slept, so I don't think it would take much to cut off blood flow to my hand while I sleep). I wore the splint the gave me at the ER for the first few nights, with this during the day, and since then, I've continued to wear this during the day, with nothing at night. It helps protect my wrist from the type of strain that is likely to make it feel worse, and it seems to help a lot, and is pretty comfortable.I came back to this page because I want to buy a second one of these so that I can wash one of them, and have another to wear while it dries. 5Does its Job Well - Please Read Sizing Recommendations Just in Case!Being an online gamer and an office worker my wrists can tend to hurt once in a while. I decided to do some preventative measures for my overall health via stretching and taking breaks; in the times where I'm working in the office I decided that I could use this brace to help with wrist therapy. I bought the small/medium size and it fits my wrists perfectly (I have very small wrists probably up to 2.5 inches across). These supports are supposed to be a little tight and I was able to find the right balance between compressed (good) and constricting (bad). I'm dinging this product by 1 (one) star only because of the price. I feel like I can find an item like this at the drug store or grocery store for the same price. Quality still seems pretty good but after long-time wear I'm sure the velcro will fail. That being said, this product is still very affordable and I would recommend it to anyone who needs a small amount of comfort for their hands and wrists. 4Not worth itJust started wearing this brace to bed at night and already the inside lining is coming undone. Never had a problem with this brand before... but this has never happened either... less than a week and already falling apart. Not worth it. 1Not DurableI wear this device about four hours per day during computer work to reduce carpal tunnel issues. Since I began wearing this a month ago, I have come across a couple problems. The first problem is that the stitching began to separate from the base of the lower two straps. After half the threads tore away I ended up having to sew it back together with needle and thread. The other problem I've had is with the brace that runs along the palm and up the wrist to provide the support. When my wrist bends down any amount, the brace juts uncomfortable into my forearm. It feels like a metal tongue depressor jamming into your arm. As a fix, I've been folding up toilet paper and packing it in there to prevent that stabbing feeling. All-in-all, the poor stitching and uncomfortable design earn this product low marks from me. I will be replacing it. 2Excellent quality, and stabilizes my wrist so it doesn't hurt.I think I just sprained my wrist, as it got swollen and hurts to move it. (If it doesn't get better soon I'll go to the doc.) But this was $5 less, delivered, than at CVS for the exact same one. Also, I wore it at night when I went to bed, and the next day, my thumb was numb for a few hours. It's too constricting for bedtime. It's great for during the day. This small/med size was fine for me, and I am 5'7" woman. 5
