My Integrative Physician recommended this for meMy Integrative Physician recommended this for me. Works good, gives me energy. One warning I will pass on: I recently realized my energy was better, but anxiety was getting worse. The Integrative Physician I see said sometimes Rhodiola causes anxiety in some people, so she took me from 3 caps a day down to 1 and I'm better. Everyone's chemistry is different. 5I had a better sense of well beingI would give this 5 stars however if you take it for too long or possibly at too high a dose it causes extreme anxiety. I took it for about 8 weeks the first go around which was about 1 to 2 weeks too long. But for the first 6 weeks it made a tremendous difference. I had a better sense of well being, handled stress better and had less anxiety. Just be careful not to take too long and dosage is important. I now know to cycle it maybe 6 weeks on, 2 weeks off, and I only take one. 4LOVED THIS but educate yourself!READ about this herb! So many things I've found online were a little overwhelming but this herb is a stimulating herb and it gives you a "kick" of needed energy when you are feeling like you are totally depleted. I used it to help me get up from Severe Adrenal Fatigue. I have been using it and some other herbs/vitamins to avoid medication for anxiety and depression. It's a lot of work to do all of the research & find good advice but it's so worth it! IT IS IMPORTANT that you not use it for too long.. I felt great the whole time I was using it but eventually saw that continuing it's use can really wear out your storehouses and everything you are hoping to heal. It creates a balance of serotonin when your body is having difficulty doing it but from everything I had read it should really only be used as a crutch when you are feeling really low and you MUST do your homework to find more sustainable ways to care for yourself and taper off.. The only thing I am currently using is HIGH DOSES of Vitamin C because it's "clean" energy.. Please use this responsibly! 4Gaia's Rhodiola Rosea is Rightly Doctor RecommendedMy doctor suggested I take this herb for energy and only recommended this brand. I used only this brand for about 6 months and then tried another brand to save a little money. The other brand, which is a reputable brand, did not have the same results. For me, liquid capsules are a must. Gaia's rhodiola rosea is the best one on the mass produced market (it's also the only liquid capsule I found in the stores or at Amazon). 5Does what it says on the bottleSo, I'm on my 2nd bottle now. I wanted to wait to write my review so that I had all the information. So many supplements promise great things but do not deliver. This is not one of them. I had gone to the doctors and had every test run trying to find out why I was so fatigued all the time. I was struggling with deep depression and given antidepressants for the last few years that just weren't working. I stopped taking them in January. Since taking this product in May, along with Ashwagandha, I can report real improvements in both energy levels and mood. I noticed the energy changes within about 10 days and it has stayed consistent as long as I keep talking them daily. I noticed the depression fog begin to lift after almost 30 days and it's been steadily getting better.I will continue taking this! 5Stress is a part of life these days. Life changer!! 5Rhodiola Rosea helps my anxiety and social phobiaI use Rhodiola for anxiety and social phobia. I have suffered from anxiety for many years, and have been on and off anxiety medication including Lexapro and Xanax. I can say Rhodiola Rosea has worked wonders for me. I love it and I don't feel the need to take anxiety medicine anymore. I take it first thing in the morning on an empty stomach and my anxiety level significantly decreases. I also notice that my appetite is also affected in that my hunger levels are reduced. Once I took it after I ate breakfast and I felt bloated, so I never did that again-always on an empty stomach. I have read that Rhodiola does lose its effectiveness after several months, so I take it just a few days a week (or if I am specifically going to a meeting or social event) and I try to take at least a week off of it each month. I also use Ashwaganda at night (same brand-Gaia) and the combination of the two are excellent for my anxiety, social phobia, stress and insomnia. 5Actually worksI have basic nurse/human stress. Since this lowers cortisol it basically reduces your response to stressors. I actually see a difference in myself. I always felt this energy in myself that lead to anxiety or getting mad over nothing and this has helped make me feel more content. High cortisol can cause many problems, physically and mentally. Take care of yourself!On the bottle it says do not take if you re bi polar just a heads up if you re diagnosed with that . 5Don t take if on blood thinners!I am on 81 mg aispriin for a DVT blood clot and after taking this herb for about 30 days my feet started to swell up so badly that I had difficulty walking. I m 50 years old and not overweight. It was gradual and it took me 3 months to realize what was causing it. The herb did seem to help with relaxation, so if you don t have a blood issue then I would recommend it. I gave it 1 star so that others with DVT or on Xarelto or other blood thinners will aee this. 1A must for anxiety, trouble focusing and high stressI have been taking Rhodiola Rosea for over 2 years now, take one capsule first thing in the morning and one with dinner. Gaia is by far the best brand you can get since it comes in a liquid capsule, dark bottle, and is sourced from Siberia. Rhodiola should properly NOT be taken as a powder capsule which I first tried, it's much more effective as a capsule.Prior to taking Rhodiola I suffered frequent anxiety attacks, was always on edge, trouble concentrating. After regularly taking Rhodiola, the number of anxiety attacks has been reduced to near zero, I handle a stressful situation with a much lighter mood. I could finally concentrate on my studies, literally could spend all day and night studying.A warning though! In my first month of taking Rhodiola, I did suffer the worst headaches! I think a lot of this was trying to start with a larger dose right away. Definitely ease into it.I have read that a periodic break is necessary, so that your body doesn't get too used to it. I try to take a 2 week break a couple times a year. Though by the end of the 2 weeks I'm an emotional mess. Completely off-center, the anxiety comes back. So maybe this is truly necessary, though it's not a particularly swell time.Overall an amazing product, highly recommend it for anxiety, trouble focusing, and high stress levels. 5
