Useful Gloves, But Have To Go Real Easy On The SeamsMy physical therapist recommended these gloves. We measured my hands, made sure I ordered the correct size. The gloves look good, they are comfortable, and they protect all the joints in the hand. The big problem though is the build. They are of very poor quality. The very first time I put them on, I tore the seam on my right hand glove. Owch. Shame on them for building such a poorly made product. The very nature of these gloves is that they fit tightly and be able to put on and take off over and over. Grrr.Update: a friend of mine repaired the seam, plus I've bought a few extra pairs, and I've since learned how to "gently" put these on without tearing the seam... it's a bit of a learned skill I'm afraid, but I have not torn a seam since, and have worn them every day for a couple of months now. I still stand by my original statements, which are genuine, but I am upgrading it to 3 stars now. While the stitching isn't the best, the gloves do the job, actually really well, and I've become reliant on them and appreciate them. They do protect my hands, and have helped me quite a bit. If you decide to get yourselves a pair, go easy on em when sliding your hands in is my best advice :) 3LOVE LOVE THESE GLOVESOh my goodness...what a difference these have made for my arthritic/trigger finger hands. Just by wearing them during non-work hours I have notice tremendous relief. I did not have a need to return to my rheumatologist who recommended them :-) There were a bit tight at first but glad I stayed with my original size as they streatched out a tiny bit and became comfortable - a little pressure actually feels good and they keep my hands warm for good circulation. They are super soft and I cannot say enough about them. Able to wear them while sewing, too. BUY THEM WITH CONFIDENCE. 5Too small, not returnableI ordered these for my Dad who has suffered with RA for more than 20 years. They are far too small for a man's hands! I came back to see if perhaps I had ordered a "female" pair, but no, just the regular large. I could barely pull them down on my fingers and they are so small my Dad can't even get his finger tips through. This is a disappointment. 1Buy these gloves only if you like mendingAfter spending time mending a second pair of these gloves, I decided to write a review. I liked these gloves because the fingers are long and do provide support and warmth, so when the first pair was ruined, I ordered a second, which quickly when the way of the first. The ends of the fingers are not hemmed, just over stitched; the stitching is rather loose and quickly rip apart. Also the seams frequently split and the knit material unravels. Maybe they last if all one does while wearing them is read a book. 1Instant ReliefFIRST IMPRESSIONSI was concerned with how small these looked when I took them out of the package (I ordered according to the sizing on the box) but they fit perfectly! The fabric of these compression gloves is lovely and soft. The stitching all seems strong and all the seams lay flat so they won t dig into your skin and cause irritation. There is a care label on the inside of the wrist that will probably need to get cut off if it starts to bunch. GENERAL FEEDBACKThe gloves were a bit hard to get on but that is probably because they re brand new. My hand is just a smidgen over 3 inches wide at the knuckles so I ordered small and it was exactly the right size. The moment the glove was on, I felt almost instant relief from the pain in my knuckles and fingers. The gloves are designed with a left and right hand, rather than a interchangeable shape, which means that they fit properly around the thumb. I really like how the length of the fingers on the gloves comes up so high, providing extra warmth and comfort for the middle knuckle and a bit of the top knuckle too. Keeping the finger tips exposed means that I can type and pick things up without worry. The wrist opening is stitched with a zig-zag seam which should help it keep its shape and not stretch too much. The glove comes about 2 inches down onto the wrist so it provides support to that joint as well.Because the fabric is mostly cotton, it breathes well and doesn t leave you with clammy hands. When needed, hand wash in cold water and air dry so that the elasticity doesn t go out of them, and they won t shrink. With cold weather, I struggle to use my mouse and keyboard at times due to joint pain in my knuckles and wrist. Using these gloves enables me to use my computer comfortably again and I don t need to keep taking anti-inflammatories. 5Compression and Warmth Makes All the Difference in Pain LevelsMy arthritic hands ache endlessly in damp or cold weather. When my 98 year old aunt said she hand washes dishes so that the warm water will soothe her aching hands, I knew this was the gift for her. She usually gets angry at gifts I send. A gift card is the worst offender. But these gloves, she adores. The Arthritis Association endorses these. The combination of compression and warmth makes all the difference in pain levels with no side effects. The open fingers allow for sensing, picking up, and holding items skillfully while the hands are warmed and soothed. I am a retired RN [and therapist] and strongly endorse these. My auntie likes them. Case closed. 5NON refundable!even though I measured my hand precisely as the box states, the gloves were too small and actually hurt them. Mostly because of the bulky seams that left huge dents in on my fingers and hands. I feel that compression gloves should be close to seamless as to not cause irritation. The item is NON REFUNDABLE so know that prior to purchase. They did give me $5 back. But I wasn't impressed. 1Actually work for osteoarthritisLove these. I used the size guide and ordered a medium, and they are perfect. I like the longer finger lengths that cover all of my joints. The thumb could be a bit longer. The compression is just right, and is not too tight at my wrist. I was skeptical that these would help, but so glad I ordered them and that I could find them in a nice grey color so they don't look so medical-device like.I do a lot of typing, and my hands will ache at the end of the day. These gloves do make movements more restrictive, and my typing speed does slow slightly, but not having painful aching hands at the end of a day is worth the slower wpm.I've hand washed them several times and lay flat to dry and they still look new.I do take them off to use the restroom (this may be TMI, but I was wondering if I would be able to get them off/on easily). I'm able to remove them easily, and put them back on when I come back to my desk. Even with freshly washed hands (because everyone needs to wash their hands after using the restroom!!), they go on with no problems. My dr. recommended compression gloves for my osteoarthritis. 5Great for Raynaud's!I have Raynaud's Disease (secondary - came along with Lupus) and even in the summer, my hands are constantly cold. I was getting daily Raynaud's attacks in which I lost almost all blood flow to my hands and they became so cold that they were painful before I bought these gloves. They help so much! They seem to stimulate blood flow enough to keep me from having an attacks. These are great "summer weight" gloves for someone with Raynaud's to wear while just going about their life.I also have joint pain in my fingers from Lupus, and these gloves also help to reduce my pain, although that's not even what I originally bought them for! I attend college classes online, and I have to do a lot of typing and computer work because of that. I always wear these gloves now while I work at my computer, and they make such a difference! Hardly any pain, even after hours of typing! For those wondering about size: When I measured my hand as it says to on the picture of the box, I was between a size small and medium. Everyone always tells me how small my hands are, but I have chubby fingers, so I was worried the small wouldn't fit. I ordered the small ones anyway. They definitely were tight when I first put them on, but I believe that they're supposed to be tight. If I had gotten the medium, they probably would not have been as effective. I agree with other reviews that they stretch out over a few days to fit your hands perfectly! The material of these gloves is soft and durable. The heather grey color is beautiful, in my opinion, and it makes them slightly more "stylish" than other gloves I've seen, which is nice for a 23 year old girl who has the circulation problems of a much older woman. The finger tips end right at the second joint on my short fingers, and I find this to be the perfect length for typing, using my phone, and other day to day activities. 5Watch the sizing, I tell you how to do it.Gloves are grey as depicted and do provide warmth as described.I want to let you know to watch the sizing. The product description says to measure "across the knuckles". The problem with that is, if you are like me, that means take a tape measure and lay it "across" or along the knuckles. Well.... the problem with that is it will then also measure the curve and give you a false measurement. Example: my hand is 3 inches laying flat on the tape but is 4 inches if I lay the tape over the knuckles! So, to determine your size: lay the ruler, straight edge or tape down flat on the table. Then, lay your hand on the numbers; put the Zero at one edge as you are looking down over your hand. Then... if you see 2 3/4 inches or less, order the XS; if you are past that and up to 3 1/8 inches you would wear a Small; the Medium is up to 3 1/2 inches and the Large is up to 4 inches.Because I measured incorrectly, I ordered a Medium and unfortunately the gloves do not fit well. They fit "okay" but my fingers and thumbs are mostly covered up. LOL So I wear them mostly to keep my hands warm in the house and at the computer. I can roll the material down a bit to expose my skin if need be.I would like to give these a 5 Star but... I cannot really attest to them fitting properly and helping circulation. I do not feel right about returning them as it was my error in measuring the size I ordered. So for now, I will use them solely to keep my hands warm. Hope this helps with your ordering. 4
