Runs down the leg after 2 days of wearAfter wearing for 2 days now I have runs all the way down the leg on both legs. I have worn compression stockings for a few years now. I know how to be very careful with them. All of my other pairs are the ultrasheer which are more likely to run but these did not hold up like those did. These are a thicker material and VERY hot! Love the open tow though! 2Disappointed supportI bought these for the lipedema in my legs. The panty part has no support at all and no compression. The compression is in the legs only. The panty part is like regular pantyhose and has stretched out in a few weeks. I am constantly tugging and pulling them up all day. 2I had a procedure for my vericose veins...I had my vericose veins done in my right leg. I live in Hawaii, so having the Open Toe pantyhose was the ONLY option I would consider. They were very hard to get on, but once they were on...they were very comfortable and made my legs look beautiful and energetic. 5Great compression panty hose.I like the open toes because it provides more room. 5Makes my legs feel like a teenagerCan't make it through a 12 hour shift without them! Not crazy about the open toe but after 10 years of support and several different brands nothing wears and lasts like Jobst! 5I don't know why these are different from other jobst ...I don't know why these are different from other jobst hose I have ordered but they didn't last at all. Had a hole and runs down the thigh within the first week. Also I read other reviews that said they slide down and didn't understand how support hose could slide because they are so tight. Well they can! Just the top that goes around the belly. Constantly was having to pull them back up because it would slide down over my belly button and drove me crazy 2Compression pantyhoseVery comfortable, especially around the waist, which isn't always true with compression pantyhose. Would order again. 5No happy with the productThis not countable at all. It runs small. 3Disappointed after reading so many great reviews I decided to ...Second time wearing them they already managed to get a hole. Disappointed after reading so many great reviews I decided to try them out since I've only used nurse mates for all my nursing years. As far as compression they work great! Don't know if I'll buy another pair for the amount I spent. 2Unreliable fit and tore in just under a monthBased on the size chart, I fall at the high end of a large and the low end of an extra-large. Technically, that means I should fit either but the reality doesn't exactly match up.The x-large fits but the large made my toes and heel hurt after a while to the point that I had to return them. For whatever reason, the toe area doesn't have any spare room. I might have been okay with an open toe version of the large but I'll stick to x-large, for now. Anyone who falls in-between sizes like me probably will be better off going to the larger size. When it comes to their knee-high socks, the large fits me just fine because it has the extra room at the toe that I apparently need. The compression seems reasonably uniform between the pairs I've tried so far. The knee-high on the other hand vary quite a bit. The large pair I bought are actually much looser than the x-large pairs I bought, in spite of them all supposedly having the same compression rating.I thought they were fairly durable but in under a month I'm getting a lot of loose threads and yesterday I got a small tear at the inner thigh area. Considering the location, I can't possibly believe it got snagged on anything. The tear extends out from the edge of the cotton section. No, I haven't been rough with them. I've actually gone out of my way to try to be gentle with them but here I am not even a full month later and they're already falling apart. Others mentioned them lasting 4-6 months but I really don't see how.As far as comfort goes, I prefer them over the knee-high socks and I didn't even bother trying the thigh high since the band would land right around where I broke my leg. My leg has healed but it remains a tender area for me. That said, these waist-high stockings are a lot more difficult to put on than the knee-high are. It can take a good 15 minutes for me to put on, sometimes. I did find that turning the legs inside out, inserting my toes and then sliding them up works the best. I tend to have to fight it a bit to get it past my ankle. Here's some advice for anyone wanting to use a toilet while wearing these: pull them straight down the way you would any pair of pants. Whatever you do, don't try to roll them down. If they start to roll up, it'll become painfully tight and cut off circulation.I like to wear my old/normal socks over top of these. I also have to wear my underwear super hero style (on the outside) to keep them from walking down to my knees. High waist underwear helps with preventing the waist band from rolling down.As far as cleaning goes, if you want them to last longer it's recommended to hand wash them. However, a lot of people just use those mesh laundry bags and wash it on the delicate cycle with either warm or cold water. In my experience, I had bad results with hand washing them. If your washer's version of "warm" is actually hot, you should stick to cold. Avoiding the dryer would be best but most dryers have a setting that just air dries without any heat and as long as there's nothing to snag it, it shouldn't harm it. I hang mine just because it's cheaper than running the dryer and it doesn't take too long for them to dry anyways.Personally, I only started wearing these because of major swelling issues with my feet. I would have preferred to stick with just the knee-highs for convenience but they tend to redirect the swelling to my knees. These waist-high stockings actually make my legs feel better. Even the spot I broke my leg at tends to hurt less. Even so, they're such a pain to deal with and so costly that I wouldn't wear them at all, if I really had a choice. As it stands, I alternate between the knee-highs and these just to keep myself from getting too bothered by either. I'd like them a lot more if they were more durable and easier to put on.Edit 2/29/16: Added the fact they tore in under a month and cleaned up the review in general.Edit 3/9/16: I have reason to suspect that my hand washing them with Jolastic is, at least partially, why my socks are all falling apart within a month of buying them. Since the Jolastic was dying my stuff blue and not cleaning the cotton parts at all, I've switched to machine washing with Tide and, so far, it seems to be working out a lot better for me.Edit 3/16/16: Machine washing and applying clear nail polish to the tear seems to be keeping it from falling apart anymore than it already has. I gave it back the star I took off for falling apart in under a month, since it's not really fair to fault the stockings for what the Jolastic junk did to them. I'm not giving back the two stars for the high price and the poor fit. That's still a problem. I would have liked to take a star off for the 15 minutes I spend each morning fighting these things to put them on but I can see the necessity of them being that tight. I'm sorely tempted to just go back to wearing my old cheap, comfortable cotton socks but watching my feet swell up and slowly rot is slightly less appealing than wearing these.Edit 3/31/16: I don't know what happened to my last edit but it tore again, same place but on the other leg. All I was doing was sitting still when it happened. The compression section seems durable enough but, in spite of my thighs being small enough to fit a "Large" they're big enough to split an "X-Large" in under a month. Also, I discovered the reason the waist band doesn't hold is simply because of poor design. I've bought other brands where the waist band stays up just fine. 2
