Perfect for Kids in CarsSix weeks ago, I vacuumed out my car before going on vacation. Easy job, right? WRONG. I lifted up one of the rear floor mats to find a semi-solid pile of vomit. Talk about disgusting! Irritated, I went inside and asked my wife if she knew about it. She did...but forgot to clean it up. She said that one of our boys became car sick on the way home from school. This is like the 100th time my kids have puked in the car. No lie! Fortunately, our car was old and nearing the end of its useful life. Now, fast-forward four weeks. We decided to replace our aging car with a brand new Toyota Prius. Still traumatized from my recent vomit find, I vowed that I would develop a solid system to prevent it from happening again. The system includes Husky floor mats, antibacterial wipes, and these Emesis Bags. Because of the flanged ends, these bags are perfect for car usage and are easy to store. In fact, because the bags telescope, they take up relatively little space in the car. We now have our kids doing vomit drills in the car. Weirdly enough, I'm looking forward to seeing if the system works as smoothly as it does in the drills. 5Don't waste your money. The item is mislabeled. It doesn't come with 24 like the description leads you to believe. Even the small package that the 1 bag came in says "24 count" on it but it only comes with one. Not to mention it was supposed to get here 5 days before it actually ended up arriving. 1I wish I had bought these soonerI have unexplained GI issues and I never know when they are going to happen. I had used fast food bags but they, of course, burst and I puked all over my car. 3 times. Then I finally bought these. They are so handy. They're great if you don't want to have to run to the toilet every time you feel sick. I took them to my in-laws because there is only one bathroom and it is on the second floor and we sleep on the third and hang out on the first. Also great when you're in someone else's car and you have piece of mind that you won't throw up all over their car. If you have issues with vomiting, these are the way to go. They're sturdy, hold a fair amount, don't leak, and are compact. 5Fancy barf bags...but worth the extra for the notches.Well...for what they are, they are AWESOME. WARNING- GROSS BARF TALK AHEAD: I have 4 kids and one that randomly throws up. She's not sick, I think she eats too fast... I was SO glad to have these in the car when she got sick out of NOWHERE. They work great for stomach bugs (you know, kids can't always get to the bathroom) and for car trips. They don't take up a ton of room, so you could easily keep one in your diaper bag too. The best part though is that you can twist it up and poke it through the notch to keep it closed. Because really, sometimes you can't pull over to toss it out for a few minutes and it's gross to make the whole car smell it. Worth the little bit of extra vs. the ones that don't have the notches. They hold plenty. The opening stays OPEN, so even my 3 year old could hold it and take care of things while I started cleaning up what I wasn't fast enough to catch. I will never not have some of these available. Being a parent is gross...but these are helpful. 5If you have to spew...spew in this! Here's a story....while on a routine visit for one of my kids their doctor gave us one of these, you know...for "just in case". This plastic contraption sat in my car for over a year until one fateful day. My kids get off the bus, with my youngest saying her tummy wasn't feeling well. No problem kiddo! let's get you home! I put the car in car and off we went when I happened to look back and saw that she put her hand to her mouth. Our eyes met and I knew...I knew what was coming next. Quickly, I shouted for my oldest to grab that blue plastic thing and open it. What happened next....sounds and smells, windows being rolled down and kids sticking their faces out to catch a whiff of sweet fresh air. All I can say is that if it hadn't been for this plastic contraption I would have been spending the evening cleaning the back of my car (and maybe the back of my head). Instead, all of the "spew" was contained in one single place. Cleanup consisted in tying a knot, a mental thank you to the pediatrician, God, and my husband adding more of these things on our Amazon order. Now, both cars can have one of these to gather dust until another fateful day requires them to stand up and say "step aside...this is a job for an Emesis Bag!". 5Keep your car clean so you can keep earningI drive for a couple of companies like Uber and Lyft and these are great. The clients get a kick out of seeing them prepped in the doors and comment on how well prepared I am. I added a absorbent sheet to each bag to help with spills and splatter. Gelmax Super-Absorbent Pad, 25 Count.Had a rider this past weekend that go take home a souvenir when she couldn't make it back to the house before vomiting. We both appreciated the bags. 5Great for drivers! As an Uber and Lyft driver, I know that these will come in handy one day. Thankfully in the three months I've been doing this so far I've never had anyone throw up. But around 9:30 I throw one of these babies in the cupholder and make any suspect people aware that I have one "just in case." The peace of mind of knowing you have the bag is nice and the fact that it has its own plastic disc makes it easy to hand off at a moment's notice, whereas a regular bag or something you'd have to open up otherwise you might end up vomiting around the border.I'd recommend these to any taxi driver, limo driver, Uber driver, Lyft driver, Juno driver, Gett driver or anything in between.UPDATE: Today I completed my 500th ride on Uber/Lyft. A few rides before I hit that magic number, I picked up these two people at a concert. The boyfriend had his wits about him, but the girl was completely gone. She couldn't walk for herself and fell asleep in my car. I handed the boyfriend the bag just in case. The girl was slipping in and out of consciousness, I turned on the air because it looked like she was sweating and just drove slow just in case. It was a 33-minute ride. She vomited at minute 29. The boyfriend was ready and waiting with this bag, and it was easy for him to hold while the car was moving because the plastic disc thing keeps it nice and open. It was right in front of her face and it was an easy target for her, yet she could still breathe easily as the opening was wide enough that it wasn't pressing against her face.He slowly got out of the car making sure to hold the disc, so there was no spill, no mess, no fuss. She vomited about half a liter of mostly alcohol and the bag held up perfectly fine. My car had no smell, nothing on the seat and I went onto my next few rides. No one could've possibly known a drunk college girl had vomited.Honestly if you are an Uber or Lyft driver (or just if you're a driver idk you do you man) and you DON'T have these in your car, you are among the stupidest drivers, my friend. These things meet a need. You don't think it'll happen until it does. I was prepared for it every day for three months and this disc made the difference between me cleaning my car and going home early and me going on to make another $100 that night. 5A must have for ber driversAs an ber driver who works the Chicago Kate night bar scene, these are invaluable. It's saved me from many clean ups. I bought these with the clean up fees from my first experience. 5Makes being sick SO much less horrible!I first encountered these during a hospitalization, and I'm sold on them. Every household should have a bag. In my family, if you're going to vomit, you end up on the bathroom floor in front of the toilet. Yuck. Being able to keep off the floor and be sick into a clean bag instead of a yucky toilet takes some of the stress out of illness. I've used these with the kids battling tummy bugs, they can keep it on the couch or in bed with them. They are so long that there's no "splash back", the rigid rim around the top keeps them open and useable no matter how incapacitated you are. I put absorbent gel pads into the bottom, so by the time I get to the trash can with them the contents are solid. I do wish they had a way to seal the top, we twist it up and then dispose of it but twist ties or a ziplock top would improve the product. They also make good portable urinals for the car, especially if you have little guys like I do. Buy gel pads to put inside! 5Convenient for car sicknessDealing with a major case of the flu. While the vomit meter is lower than dealing with a stomach bug, I m still grateful for these bags to keep handy. I was using a little plastic pitcher, but it s hard to sleep with one of those bulky things right under your chin. These work better. I was able to catch my 5 year old's vomit at 5am this morning b/c the bag was right next to his body while he was sleeping and I didn't have to flail around for a plastic container. I also keep them in the car for cases of motion sickness. They re so convenient; came in handy once when I was carpooling for a field trip and one of the kids got sick in the car. Nobody got splashed, it was easy to dispose of (they threw in all the napkins and wipes they used to wipe off his face), the bag is plenty large to hold lots of volume, and my car stay cleaned.
