Customer Reviews

I had purchased another brand that promised to be very soft and comfortable, and said was made for small ear canalsMy husband snores and makes all sorts of noises when sleeping. My last resort is to try ear plugs. I had purchased another brand that promised to be very soft and comfortable, and said was made for small ear canals. And every freaking night I was struggling to get them in my ears. I have wonky ear canals, small and curvy, and nothing fits in them. Can't wear any ear buds, blue tooth, nothing. And those other ear plugs were garbage. Then I figured I'd try these, they had decent reviews, and I was swayed by the color to be honest. The first night I tried them they went right in. To both ears!! Nothing short of a miracle in my recent experience. And they worked even better than the others, probably because they fit better. I can't hear a thing! It's so great! And every night since I've had the same results: they go right in, first try, stay in all night, super comfortable, and I barely notice them in, except for the sweet sound of silence. Love them. Will definitely purchase again. 5Good noise reduction, and comfortable enough to wear them all night.I needed earplugs due to noisy neighbors. I tried different ones (including Mack's Ultra Soft Foam Earplugs, Flents Quiet Please, and some Hearos earplugs), but the Drift to Sleep are definitely the best so far.The Flents appealed to me because they are shorter, and I sleep on my side, so I figured they would be more comfortable, and I was wondering if the Drift to Sleep might be too long - but in reality, their length is not a problem at all. In fact, they are the most comfortable earplugs I have tried so far. With other earplugs, my ear canals would hurt in the mornings, but not with the Drift to Sleep. All else being equal, if you make earplugs shorter, you have to make them more dense in order to achieve the same level of noise reduction - and making them more dense increases their firmness, which makes them less comfortable. The Drift to Sleep strike a perfect balance. The level of noise reduction is excellent for my situation, that is, to block out the noise from upstairs neighbors who occasionally drop things on the hardwood floor. Normally, this would wake me up every time, but with the Drift to Sleep I don't hear this noise anymore - and in the rare event that I do hear something, it's so soft and distant that it doesn't bother me at all. But I can still hear my alarm clock in the mornings. Perfect.A little side tip for you: I use an iPhone app called "Progressive Alarm Clock" (by Spotlight Six Software) - you can choose from different Tibetan singing bowls, and the app wakes you up gently: it starts out very soft and then gradually gets louder and more frequent. There are a number of different patterns you can choose from. And for peace of mind, it has a "sure wake" feature that is pretty much guaranteed to wake you up if everything else didn't. Check the app out, it's great. So much better than the usual alarm clocks that give you a heart attack. (By the way, I am not affiliated with the developers in any way. Just a happy user.)Can you get cheaper earplugs than the Drift to Sleep? Sure. But these work great and are very comfortable - I don't know about you, but that's worth it to me. And let me tell you: you can easily use them for multiple days. I've tried it. They remain comfortable, and the noise reduction remains the same. I recommend you try them out and see for yourself. I haven't looked back since I've discovered the Drift to Sleep. One last thing: I could have sworn that when I bought these (on 3/17/2016), the Amazon listing said they have a noise reduction rating (NRR) of 29 dB. Because I remember thinking to myself "Hm, they have a different shape and length than the Flents Quiet Please, yet they have the same NRR. I wonder how they compare in terms of comfort of wearing." - the box they came in and the package insert don't specify the NRR, so I can't verify that they have a NRR of 29 dB. Maybe I'm wrong. But I noticed that one of the images on the Amazon listing now says they have a NRR of 33 dB. Now, if I am NOT wrong, and they DID have a NRR of 29 dB, and now they have changed the earplugs to bring them to a NRR of 33 dB, then obviously I can't tell you if this has changed anything about how comfortable they are. Mine are great, that's all I can say.I hope this review was helpful! 5Trying to sleep with a snorer?I have a loud snoring husband that I love but I spent at least a year on the sofa because of it. I've tried MANY kinds of earplugs. Some were better than others, but I could always hear the snoring. These are great! They don't even make my ears sore like some of the other kinds do. And they are so easy to put in properly so they don't fall out during the night. I'm happy to be back in my own bed again! 5Snores McGheeThe little purple plug. Highest decibel rating you can get without a trip to the ENT. Both my husband and my dog snore like locomotives. Literally, I can feel the vibration on my pillow at night. It's as close to quiet as I'll ever get without a divorce. 5Changed the product - large and firm :(I have very sensitive and small ear canals. These ear plugs used to be fantastic; very soft and cushy and smaller than other small and sensitive varieties I have tried. Unfortunately they completely changed the product though the packaging and description are the same. They are now a standard large size and firm foam, your run of the mill ear plug. Such a shame. Misleading they continue to advertise for small ears. 1These work for blocking a good amount of noise if you can get them in ...These seem like they should block a good amount of noise if you can get them in your ears. I am a an adult female - these are so big the end is outside my ear when fully inserted. These are at least 10-15% larger than normally sized earplugs both length and widest width. They are very hard to get placed into the ear correctly even when compressed as small as possible and I have read and followed the directions exactly. These just don't seat right in my ears. I have not used them for sleeping but I suspect they will easily fall out since they stick out of my ears. They are roughly 1" long by 1/2" wide. 2Not worth the priceI really wanted to like these. They come beautifully packaged and are a fun purple color. I like the little carrying case, but not so much the ear plugs themselves. While they do block out sound, I don't feel they do so any better than the significantly cheaper ones I used before. On top of that, they are difficult to insert, and if you don't put them in all the way, they have a tendency to fall out as you sleep. Finally, once I did figure out how to get them fully inserted for full sound blockage, I ended up waking up during the night to pull them out because they were causing pain in my ear. I think I'll stick to the cheaper brand I used before. If I could return these, I would. Not worth the extra cost. 2Uncomfortable and ineffectiveI do not recommend if you have small ears. I am 5 6 with an average sized head but my ears are on the smaller side. These were extremely uncomfortable - quite painful actually. I also do not recommend if you are a light sleeper. I bought them as my husband snores - these did drown out the noise a little but even if they fit would not have been effective. They are also ineligible for return so I lost money on this purchase. 1Too long, narrowBe aware that this seller doesn't allow returns, I wish I had looked instead of jumping at the opportunity to buy them. All that aside, the seller shipped them right away and they arrived quickly. My review of the product doesn't reflect on this seller.I'm starting to wish there were a standard sizing chart for earplugs. These are too long and narrow and don't block any noise when I'm trying to sleep. I have small ears but these still don't fill them out and give me that seal/sweet silence I need to sleep. 3Read one star reviews before buyingTerrible!!! Read the one star reviews....Large, wont stay in, and do not block noise any more than my 3m ear plugs. And the 3m don t work with but at least they are comfortable. Complete waste of money. Do not buy. 5
