Comfortable heat and good coverage.My wife's doctor prescribed heat and cold packs for her shoulder pain, this Sunbeam Heat Therapy Wrap took care of the heat portion with aplomb.The magnetic clasp does a good job of holding it in place and the two heat settings are enough to keep the heat level comfortable without overheating.The massage feature is fun and soothing for awhile, but the buzzing noise soon makes you want to switch back to heat alone.A very good value for the money. 5Stopped Working During 2nd UseWorked fine the first time, but during the 2nd use, it turned off after 5 minutes by the auto-off function. I've tried resetting the unit, per Sunbeam's product support, but it did not fix it. It never stayed on for more than 5 minutes. Sadly, I discovered this outside the 30 days return window. 1Works great, strong odorThis works quite well on my shoulders. Be aware. There is a sizing on all of it that smells heavily of strong, strong bleach. I've had this for over a month and that odor never goes away. I've washed the cover and laid the pad itself outside, but it's still a strong odor. 4The heat is great! I have a routine in the AM when ...WOW This is heaven ! I am 65 and have severe arthritis in my cervical spine and lumbar area. I already am using a smaller Sunbeam massage pad ( 730- 811) but wanted a second one so I could use one on my lumbar area and one on my upper back at the same time . This pad is soft, cushy and very large. It fits on my pillow and the massage heads are right at my shoulder blades. The heat is great ! I have a routine in the AM when I first wake up where I use the massage heat pads, do stretches, and dry brushing, and drink a cup of traditional Chinese medicine herb tea created by my acupuncturist to control inflammation and calm nerve impulses . After this routine I get up and am pain free for the whole day . NO horrible addictive drugs that the doctors kept trying to push on me . This new pad is a great addition to my routine . It works really well. I would for sure buy it again. 5I love, love, love this product! A+ Sunbeam!I got this yesterday and I found a new best friend. I carry tension in my shoulders and neck. This is an amazing product. The heat with massage is glorious. I had to go with lavender, as teal is a horrible color. The material is crazy soft. The cord is really a great length. The control is a good distance from the pad so you aren't sitting on it. Buttons are large and easy to hit. I didn't realize it was a magnet keeping the front together. Thank you for no Velcro! Nice touch. You get bored with one massage setting, great news there are 3 more! Low heat and high heat setting. I am ecstatic with this product. Thank you Sunbeam! My husband bought me this as an anniversary gift. I fell in love twice! I look forward to many evenings in the recliner with this product. It's amazing. I found nothing wrong with this product. A+++++++ Sunbeam! 5A little patience can go a long way.....After reading the reviews, I took a chance on this because NOBODY came close to the amazon price. Yup.... when I first used it, the smell was TERRIBLE. Somewhat like using a can of RAID for an inhaler. I went and bought one locally at a much higher price and it smelled as bad. That one was returned. I hung this one out on our enclosed deck for about 2 weeks...... and the nasty smell is gone. Ever since a rotator cuff surgery 10 years ago, I have suffered with sore neck and shoulders. This has been the best thing to come home to after a long day of pulling wrenches.I would buy it again. 5Wish I got the non-massaging versionI have tendinitis in my rotator cuff and I liked the design of this heating pad. I love that it stays draped over the shoulders, unlike a rectangular heating pad that's difficult to keep in place. If I had to do it over again, though, I'd get the version without the massage feature. If I want to use just the heat while lying down, the components that are inside that do the massaging poke into my back in uncomfortable places. It's fine if sitting up. 4Love the heat. The massage (vibration) doesn't do anything for me.The heat feels great, but I wish I had ordered one without the massage. It's just a vibration and doesn't help my knots or tension, and just adds some lumps of massage units in what otherwise would be a nice, flat, draping heating pad. I ended up returning it to just get the heating pad only version.UPDATE: I ended up returning this and buying one without the massage. It doesn't have the lumps of the massage units, which did nothing for me, so I like it better. About the same price though. It stunk horribly when I first opened it, but aired out okay. 4Pretty usefulPretty large. Warms nicely. The magnet on the wings, to hold around shoulders is nice. Massages nicely. Kids like it. Hope it lasts a long time. Only complaint is that the vibrating devices, on either side, are about 2 inches long and about an inch thick. They can be uncomfortable when your just sitting on the heating pad. I'm nitpicking here! 4Because the smell is HORRIBLE! I don't understand why some reviewers say there ...Usually I don't leave reviews, but I will do it today, for this product. Because the smell is HORRIBLE! I don't understand why some reviewers say there is no chemical smell. It is impossible to ignore. And washing it does not help at all, yes, I have tried. It does not only smell, it also makes the things it touches smell. You don't need to heat it. The smell is there all the time.I thought it is just something from the fabric, or the heating part. But it turns out to come from the material inside of the cover, which helps the edges to drip down: those plastic, black thing. Once I cut the cover open, I can feel the smell 5x harder. This is a pity. I think the product itself is good. The cover is well tailored. The design of having something along the edge to make it drip is smart. But, why, why using the horrible material?! Disappointed. 1
