Not enough absorbency for heavy wettersI bought these because my daughter is getting more sensitive about not wearing regular underpants to bed, but she's still having accidents so I thought Super Undies would fit the bill. I like the range of sizes they offer and that they do look and fit a bit more like underwear than the MotherEase Bedwetter pants we have been using, but the first night she wore them, they leaked. The next time she wore them, I added a Thirsties hemp insert and there were no leaks so I would recommend this product, but for a heavy wetter an added insert is a must. 3Works great for us.We decided to purchase these training pants for our 5 year old son; unfortunately, he just doesn't wake up in the middle of the night if he has to pee. After many moons of buying pull-ups, saving money and the environment became a necessity. We bought a size large since he's almost 6 years old and weighs between 40-50 pounds.Day 1: Received them in the mail, washed and dried using zero cleaners or fabric softeners (I've heard that kind of stuff can ruin the absorption of such materials). Unfortunately, our dryer likes to turn off if it thinks the item(s) in the dryer are dry. So, we didn't get a chance to use the training pants the first night since they were still damp.Day 2: Yay! We get to use them! There are two ways to wear the training pants. One way is with the padding fully lengthened from the front towards the back. I presume this is the typical way, and suggested way for girls. The paper tag that comes with the training pants indicates that for boys, you fold the inner padding in half so that you essentially have a double layer from the front towards the middle. This does make for much more bulk though. We, however, make sure that his penis is pointing in a downwards position (from experience, more leaks occur (in diapers) when their penis is pointing up, towards the belly button). So we put the newly acquired training pants on our little man, "Hmm, I like these." *30 seconds later* "I don't like these, they're too big." I adjusted the inner lining and just made it the long way so that there was less bulk. He told me so many times that he didn't like them that night and how uncomfortable they were and he was never wearing them again. I apologized and explained their economic value in hopes that he would understand the importance of reusing. Long story short for day 2, he did pee while sleeping but NO LEAKS! I washed them and let them air dry all day long.Day 3: Thankfully, he didn't put up too much of a fight and agreed to try them again. He had minimal complaints about their uncomfortableness but still kept them on. Next morning, I think he had a minor accident, with no leaks. It's a lot of padding though, so it was a little hard to tell if he actually urinated. I washed and let them air dry again.Day 4: No complaints. I think he's just accepted the fact that these are his and it is what it is. Phew! Glad that minor battle is over. Yet again, the product remains faithful. No leaks! Now, keep in mind that I am washing these each morning in the washing machine. I actually don't remember if I used detergent this morning (because this morning was such a long time ago). I have washed them on the hot cycle and the warm cycle. The first day of air-drying, I kept the fan on high. The second and third day of air-drying, I kept the fan on medium and I really don't think they were 100% dry. They were good enough to use again, but there was that questionable feeling whether or not they were "really" dry after a full day under the fan in my bedroom. We're going on day 5 now and overall, I'm very pleased with them! 4and they are both pretty good. In my opinionMy 7 year old special needs daughter developed an allergy to her pull ups, so I bought two different kinds of cloth undies for her. I wanted to compare them before I bought more. I bought a pair of these and a pair of Mother Ease Bedwetter Pants. The cost is roughly the same for either. I have used both for several weeks now, and they are both pretty good. In my opinion, they have different pros and cons, which I will list for you.The Mother Ease Bedwetter Pants Pros: They seem to hold more liquid than the Super Undies, and they have never leaked yet. They seem easier for my daughter to put on independently. The cotton liner is attached at both the front and the back, which keeps it in place while she pulls them up. They can be turned inside out and the liner hangs free of the water proof cover for quicker drying. The Mother Ease Bedwetter Pants Cons: They take slightly longer to dry, and are not as cute as the Super Undies. The Super Undies Pros: They are cuter than the Mother Ease Bedwetter Pants, and fit more snuggly. The Super Undies have a liner to help reduce the sensation of being wet, which is nice. They seem to dry a little faster than the Mother Ease Bedwetter Pants. The Super Undies Cons: I am sure that their snug fit is intended to prevent leaks, but it makes it harder for my daughter to pull them up herself, because she has mild cerebral palsy. They have leaked a couple of times, and I think in order to use them, I will have to add additional liners to increase the absorbency. The absorbent liner that comes with it is attached at the front only. That is so you can double it in the front for boys, or leave it flat for girls. If you have a boy this may be a nice benefit, but for us it just means the liner tends to bunch up in the back when she tries to pull them up, and I have to help her get the liner situated.I think I prefer the Mother Ease brand, but either kind is usable and in the end they will pay for themselves. I hope you find this information helpful. 4Arrived USED not as advertised. Gross.Arrived very USED, microfiber waistband pilled with lint and pet hair, smelling strongly of detergent. Why?! Not advertised as used. VERY important information when purchasing a personal hygiene product. Gross Super Undies. Thanks but no thanks. 1Super Undies work for usWe've purchased super undies to assist with the final transition to consecutive dry nights with our 4-yr old boy. Definitely agree with others that the size smaller is plenty big - we've bought both a size 1 and size 2. If he does wet, a liner is needed to not have to change the sheets. (We've used some from other diapers, but plan to get an insert that's designed for it) as they are still leaking. We LOVE that we've been able to get rid of disposable pull-ups. Thx super undies. It is a big lumpy & big in the bigger size - but more motivation for him to get up and use the toilet! 4Good training toolThese are great for training my 7 year old to get through the night. I still need to get him up 20 mins after going to bed and then again every 3 hours, but at least we are making progress (and saving money and the landfill from disposable diapers). I fold over the insert, so we have lots of material around his boy part. Often if he starts to pee, he feels it and stops (and he changes into a fresh dry one too...disposable wick away and therefore he finds it okay to pee and not at all bothering if it gets full). They are not leak proof though. Too much pee and it soaks through the leg or waist. They are meant for training (We keep trying every few months until he was ready to start training.). Washing is easy. I give them a quick rinse and then wash them like I do anything else (inside out of course) and then dry them with jeans (that's about how long they take in the drier). 5Great for older kidsThese were a huge confidence booster in my son. He did not want to wear pull-ups, but he could not control his bed wetting, so we needed something. We started these when he was smaller, and I bought these when he outgrew the other pair. These were his "Super Undies" and he was happy to wear them! For the most part, these worked great at keeping the bed dry. He was the kind of kid that didn't even wake up when he peed in his sleep, so it wasn't a small amount that they had to hold. I highly recommend these for kids who are too old for pull ups. As with everything, he eventually grew out of the bed wetting, and these "Super Undies" held up wash after wash. 5They leak, bewareI was so excited when I received these washable night diapers. I ordered them for my bedwetting kids after reading so many positive reviews. I thought "why didn't I think about this before and spent fortunes in nasty non-eco friendly diapers"...Then my kids tried them...They are very comfortable and soft, but they leak big time. It's been two days now, and both days, my boys were soaked in the morning...meaning I had to clean the beds, pajamas, plus the undies. I purchased additional inserts, so I don't understand what we are doing wrong...I was hoping to potty train them for good with these diapers but it's not working so far. Oh, and also, my youngest developed an allergy after wearing them for two days. His thighs are all red and itchy...I so wanted to love this product but it's a big fail for us...Back to nasty diapers... 1DisappointedTook a shot on these, despite the cost, because of the great reviews on here. These are just not fantastic for us.The elastic band at the top gets twisted EVERY time I wash them. Then it takes me forever to get the band straightened out (my son won t wear them otherwise). We measured just as described but the fit isn t quite as snug as we would like. It didn t leak the first time my son had an accident, but it did leak the last 2 times, which resulted in all of the bedding, mattress pad, and clothes needing washed. Here s a pro, my son doesn t hate wearing them.Still searching for the right product for us. 2Good product, I wish I bought it sooner. We are a 50% cloth 50% disposable diaper family. Through three kids we have cloth diapered them all. As a working mom this was not always easy. One thing I needed most was sleep, so I never used cloth at night. My almost four year old was quick to potty train. He was trained by two, but night time is a different story. He wanted to wear big boy undies like his older brother and knew the cloth was for his younger sister so this was our solution. I was torn between this brand and the mom one. I chose this brand because the other brand looked ridiculous in pictures. These are slimmer, but by no means attractive. The companies adds a card that says if you review their product, they will send you a free insert. While this is genius way to get a review, it has negatively impacted the leak review. Alone the under pants were not enough. They leaked. Having a large stash of cloth, I found that Charlie Banana inserts were a great fit and stopped the leaks. Bum genius inserts were to wide and long. Overall great product, but I am not sure why it costs $10 more than a cloth diaper. I will try to update my review once I get the extra insert. 4
