Buyer beware..what you see is NOT what you getI purchased this boot for my child who sustained a fractured foot. Although the boot was delivered on time, I received the wrong item (I ordered a size medium and I received a short, ankle stabilizer boot in size large). Hoping it was a fluke, I then placed another order which I just received. Unfortunately, I once again received a short ankle boot, not the one that is described or displayed!! I am very frustrated, as my son has been hobbling through extremely crowded middle school hallways on crutches, and he's almost been knocked over many times, which is why we needed the boot quickly!I've given up and just ordered another boot overnight that is made by a different company, and I am hoping that is correct so that he can get off the crutches and heal up. 1Disappointed.Not great. I bought this to replace my old hospital issue boot because the liner was shot and some of the straps were worn out. I was so hopeful for this to be great. At first it was ok except for the overly rounded bottom. The front to back roll was fine, however it was the side to side roll that I didn't like. It caused a lot of unwanted stress on my ankle and knee. I eventually got used to it and had less trouble with it. Then after a few weeks the velcro on the boot sides started coming loose. It left a gooey sticky mess as it slid around while I was walking. I tried gluing it back down with Gorilla glue but it didn't stick for long. After that I spent hours cleaning all the goo off and used double stick mounting tape. It stuck great to the boot but not to the velcro. I then just gave up on the rigid part of the boot and transferred the liner and three of the straps to my old boot.Pros: Great liner. Love the stitched in pad at the ankle.Cons: Too much roll side to side. Bad glue holding the velcro on. 2Just as good as more expensive boots.I've been in Physical Therapy for nearly 25 years and this boot is just as good as much more expensive boots. My daughter was able to ditch her crutches right away and wore this for many months. It's sole is low profile and didn't leave her with one long leg while wearing regular sneakers, even converse. Take care of it and it will last. The complaints I've seen in bad reviews are really the same issues you'll get with expensive boots, so save some money and buy these. 5I would highly recommend this boot to regain mobilityAfter being on crutches for a few days, I would highly recommend this boot to regain mobility. I'm a ladies size 9 and the medium boot fits, though the small may have been slightly better. I'm very pleased with the product and it's pricing. 5Relief!So, I ride a 09 HD Dyna Super Glide. A car didn t see me. Pulled out of McDonalds snarfing her drive through food while texting and failed to look to her right. My options were A) get smashed my a stupid woman eating her stupid food or B) dump my bike. I dropped her. My foot got stuck under the crankshaft and let s be honest, I weight 110lbs the bike weighs 800+ and there are a zillion (technical terminology I swear) bones in a foot. Metatarsals crunched. Didn t want an ambo ride (predominantly didn t want the bill) so like a boss I rode my bike home. (Maybe not a smart boss but a boss none the less) dr can t get me in till tomorrow (injury happened Tuesday early evening) ordered this upon the recommendation of my docs nurse.It keeps my foot still. Which is super nice. Probably could have gone w a shorter boot but got this one because of next day delivery. Came super fast. Has 4 moveable pads to help you customize the pressure/immobilization. I stood without help for he first time in two days after I got this sucker on. Relief is totally in sight.Buy it. It ll help. It has helped me and my fractured (speculating till tomorrow) 4th and 5th metatarsals tremendously. 5I bought this one because the one I got from my doctor's office is getting dirty and didn't really want to wear it inside the ..This is ok for indoor. (but remember those are 200 - 400 dollars) However, it is ok to walk inside the house. And this is slightly lighter.Here is my advice. If you need something close to what you get from doctor's office, please spend a little more money on it. Or If you plan to walk outside with this, please don't buy it. Buy one of those around 100 bucks. It really has a lot to do with your health! No one wants to break another bone!!If you want something just to wear inside the house for a short period of time, like myself, go for it. I think this will keep my couches clean and give me some support I still need.One thing to pay attention: If you are lower half of the size chart, please buy one size small. Fast recovery to ya'll! :) 4Stress FractureI have a stress fracture but since I am on that Gov'ment Cheese right now, I can't afford to get an MRI and Nurse type of person in bunny rabbit scrubs to tell me to wear this. I decided to cut out the middle man and just get this. I looked at CVS and Walmart and they are charging $100~ish for this boot. Amazon, you beautiful stranger, thank you for selling this important item at half the cost. It does what it's supposed to. Immobilize my foot so that the crack has time to heal while I await my doctor appointment so that I can go in with a perfectly healed foot and say, " Well, it WAS in pain" and then they can take my money and send me away. God bless the USA but mostly Amazon. 55 shoe and the Medium size boot fits great and even has some extra room (I'm pretty sure ...This boot has made a world of difference in the recovery of fractures I have in my shin and ankle. Two things to note when buying this: 1) I wear a US Men's 10.5 shoe and the Medium size boot fits great and even has some extra room (I'm pretty sure Men's 11 would fit perfectly fine too) 2) buy a shoe balancer (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006IUU2TK/) to avoid added stress to your hip / back from the uneven height. Seriously, it should come as a combo because without the balancer you're going to be seriously uncomfortable.Pros:- Liner padding is comfortable- The boot overall is sturdy- Curve of the heel helps keep ankle locked in place but allowing a more natural walk and allows you to not compensate with your kneeCons:- Without a balancer the uneven height was causing pain in my opposite hip.- Liner is hot. I need to open it up and let my leg breathe a couple of times a day.- Heel backstop is low and created some discomfort against my Achilles until I added some padding to itOverall this boot was a much better option than getting a full cast, and cheaper than what my insurance was trying to force on me. I'm able to walk relatively freely with much less pain than not having it on. I'd buy this again if I needed to, without a 2nd thought. 5Arrived next day, and much CHEAPER!Purchased this for my fractured/sprained ankle. At the orthopedist's office, I could have gotten it for a whopping $400 WITH my insurance. I looked it up online while there to make sure it was the right one and was able to get this one for a HUGE price difference. Orthopedist approved and I have been wearing it for 3 weeks now. I won't be purchasing medical supplies like this in office anymore, as there is such a large price difference for the EXACT same product! I'll be needing a figure 8 brace soon, will definitely be purchasing online rather than in-office. 5Good recovery while walking around.I got the size Small. I wear a size 7 shoe, and the Small was almost perfect, (might accommodate up to 8.5) (also ordered XS - and returned that one. XS is so tiny, it's probably for people with size 5 feet)The boot is easy to put on, easy to take off. the height is essential and effective for immobilizing the ankle during healing (I had a torn Achilles tendon); but I did have to add a folded sock for extra padding over the front of my ankle to keep things really snug. I felt very secure, and it was good to be mobile.Very glad I ordered the long cushion Sock Liner to go with it, would have been less comfortable with ordinary, short socks on my leg.[hey - when you're stuck in one of these things, "comfort" is what you make of it! ]NOTE: I highly recommend also adding height to your other foot. If you don't, you're going to be very unhappy, very soon with the strain and pain of your uneven leg length. I bought something called an "Even-up" that uses elastic and Velcro straps to attach a thick riser to the sole of my other shoe. 4
