Changed My Sinus Health, Changed My Life! LITERALLY!I have tried other Neti Pots with much discomfort, awkwardness and near drowning (j/k)!! Seriously though, this is designed perfectly for successful sinus lavage and cleansing. I have used this for almost three days now and I am sleeping better than I have in years, my husband says my snoring is exponentially reduced and my headaches are gone. My doctor recommended I use a Neti after (but still in) a hot steamy shower at night before retiring. I have suffered for years with chronic sinus inflammation and infections from immune and anatomical disorders of my nares and sinuses. The design of this pot and perfect instructions make use so easy and efficient with instant beneficial results. I breathe better at night, awake refreshed and alert, and my "foggy" feeling I had each day is gone. I use small grain (NOT finely ground) Himalayan salt and distilled water (per my physician's instructions). I highly recommend this product and look forward to using it each day; it just feels so good (I never thought I'd say that about nasal/sinus lavage!)!!!As always, if inflammation or infection symptoms - such as temperature, pain/pressure, or other symptoms - persist one should consult with his or her personal physician. 5Excellent nasal irrigation toolThis was a replacement for a ceramic Neti Pot of mine that I loved, but unfortunately broke. I'm actually kind of glad that it did break, because it prompted me to purchase this nasal irrigation pot to replace it. The velocity at which water travels out of this pot is impressive!!! Compared to my smaller Neti Pot with a shorter arm, I can definitely tell that the salt water solution coming from this pot is pushing deeper into my nasal passage. The plastic this pot is made out of is very thick -- not flimsy at all. The added salt scoop / stirring utensil is very helpful. Also, the pot comes packaged with some fantastic directions for breathing techniques to complete after completing a nasal irrigation. The only reason I'm not providing a five star review is the size of the hole and angle of the cone at the end of the arm that presses up to the nostril. I have a fairly small nose, and to keep salt water solution from pouring down my face while using the pot (instead of into my nose) I have to press the end of the arm somewhat firmly into my nostril. My guess is that for most people, though, what I'm describing here wouldn't be an issue. As with all nasal irrigation devices, always remember to use distilled or boiled and cooled water (and add salt appropriate for nasal irrigation, of course). Never use tap water, even if you live in a location where tap water is of high quality. 4A Home RunI have used neti pots for years and was never satisfied. They were either cheaply made, leaked from the seams, had rough edges, did not hold enough water, were poorly designed and most importantly had a weak and sporadic water flow.I purchased this neti pot in 2015 and it is by far the best pot I have ever used. The pot is made of high quality plastic, not cheap or flimsy, no sharp edges and is nicely finished. It has raised markings and is translucent which is perfect for measuring, mixing, and checking to see how much water you have remaining. The pot holds more water than any other pot I have found (16 ounces) which allows me to flush both nostrils without having to stop and refill the pot.Due to its extra-long spout you do not have to bend/crank your neck to the side as much as with other pots and there is zero chance of the water spilling out over the top. I also found this pot to have the best rate of flow of any pot. All the other pots had a weak or sporadic flow. The flow from this pot is just right; not a gusher like a pressure system but rather a smooth, strong and consistent flow. The perfect volume of water and rate of flow to get the job done right the first time without multiple rinses.I would highly recommend it and have purchased one for a family member who is equally as pleased as I am. I only hope that they don t change the design or worse cease production. 5Excellent Netti Pot!There s nothing I don t like about this netti pot. It holds more liquid and the angle at which you hold your head to cleanse your sinuses is so much easier than the short ended netti pot. I personally really like this this style better. 5The maker has done a good research to create this pot. This blue neti pot is for my son. I have a pink one so does my granddaughter. 16 ounce capacity is about the right amount of saline water to rinse our nasal canals. It is a little larger in size compared to other pots; but removing the necessity for a second rinse justifies the inconvenience of real estate space on the counter. With this size and shape, I don't have to tilt my head so much to rinse my nasal canals. The maker has done a good research to create this pot. 5The strength of lengthI got this to replace a leaky NeilMed plastic neti pot and I wish I'd done so sooner. Leaving aside the lingam-like shape of the spout and nozzle and the haunting product photos of the woman staring into the camera while rinsing her sinuses, this is a really high-quality neti pot. Allow me to list the ways it dunks over the heads of lesser netis:- no sharp edges- made of polypropylene (the least sinister plastic)- holds lots of water- doesn't spill, drip, or leak- delivers strong water pressureIts secret sauce, as others have mentioned, is the flow rate it achieves through some combination of spout length and angle. Neti pots rely on gravity, so any design tweak that can help the water enter your nostril with a little more pressure is helpful in flushing out the crud.I can only think of one way to improve it, which would be to add a marking for 8 oz/240ml. Despite the instructions, I really don't find it necessary to push a pint of saline through my sinuses every time, nor have I noticed any additional benefit to flushing both sides as the booklet suggests (your experience may vary, of course). The basic action of the neti pot already flushes both sides, regardless of which nostril you stick the nozzle in.So far I've had the best results by combining a premixed packet of NeilMed saline, 8 oz of boiled (and cooled!) water, and 3-4 teaspoons of Alkalol. Cleaning the pot is as easy as washing the nozzle with soap and then running hot boiled water through the top and out the spout. If anyone wants to try my tactic of underfilling the NoseBuddy, I've drawn a red line on a product shot to indicate where 8 oz is. Hope that's helpful to someone. :) 5Wonderful!Have used the NeilMed Neti Pot for a decade. The NoseBuddy is much easier to use and easier to handle. I can hold the pot from either the base or around the sculpted middle. The water flow is perfect and I don't have to twist my head as much as I used to. It holds 2 cups so I can really flush my nasal passages. The Nosebuddy is much easier to clean, too. It is lightweight and will not break either. 5WOW!Wow! This is so much better than my kittle type neti. I was thinking of the squeeze bottle type, but forcing water through your nose under pressure instead of letting gravity do it's thing did not seem like a good idea. I no longer have to bend my head at an unnatural angle and struggle to get all the water out. A slight bend of the head in each direction and you are done in half the time! Wow! 5I use it once a day before bed and I breath through my nose comfortably all night longI've lived with a stuffy nose for the past 10 years. I have used this 4 times and my nose is completey clear! I use it once a day before bed and I breath through my nose comfortably all night long. My husband has said that I've even stopped snoring! It's fantastic. I highly recommend. 5Best Neti Pot you can buy! The shape is the secret!I love this neti pot! The shape is the secret. The extra long neck uses the force of gravity to force the solution through your nose and works so much better than the smaller ones. My brother-in-law won't touch it because he thinks it has a vaguely phallic shape, but if that sort of thing doesn't bother you, this is the best neti pot you can buy. The included spoon is great for measuring out just the right amount of salt after you run out of the included packets, and is the perfect length to give it a good stirring before you pour it up your snout! There isn't much else to say. If you're looking to get a neti pot, this is the best one. The shape really makes all the difference. An excellent product on all levels!(As an aside, I have heard that you need to worry about bacteria building up in your neti pot, and it can cause a condition called "bacteria of the brain" (which sounds really horrible). I have no idea if this is true or not, but just to be safe, wash it out with hot soapy water, or pour boiling water through it every few days or if you haven't used it for a while!)Definitely a recommended purchase. The best one you can buy! 5
